The Feldenkrais Method® addresses human functioning and how through our own innate capacity to learn, we could  improve the quality of our lives.

"What I am after isn't flexible bodies but flexible brains. What I am after is to restore each person to their human dignity".  Moshe Feldenkrais

Your body has a rich and potent language. Are you listening?

Our body's sensations are vital messages connected to our sense of health and well-being. We often do not have the tools to understand the body's way to communicate, and we unknowingly end up working against our own wellness.

Learn more efficient movement options

As a Feldenkrais practitioner®, I will help you clarify the neural connections essentials for a healthy functioning as I guide you  to sense yourself in your body and your movements; you will learn to let go of habitual patterns of tensions and muscular contractions.

We learn to speak, stand and walk early on. It was not taught to us, it came from our innate ability to learn. Throughout life, we will continue to learn and make sense of the world around us. Little by little, we develop our self-image - how we sense, feel, think and move -  in relationship to our environment, to our experiences and our responses to them.

"We act according to our self-image". M. Feldenkrais

Among the many learned habits that are  a part of our self-image, we  accumulated habits that do not serve us well. They arise for many different reasons, be it stress, protection mechanisms from an injury, emotional trauma, or others. In all instances, these unwanted habits  find themselves in muscular patterns operating from deep layers in our brain; they have formed established neural pathways and the longer they have been used, the stronger they are. In fact, our muscular habits are so familiar to us, they are part of our functioning reality and we are totally unaware of the patterns that limit our movements or bring us pain and discomfort.

Where to start to create change? How to learn to learn again?

Here comes the gift of The Feldenkrais Method® and sensory-motor learning...

Moshe Feldenkrais applied his genius to tap into the neuroplasticity of the brain through movement and the power of our attention. His approach invites playfulness and curiosity and, most importantly, the ability to be "in the process of moving", in the now of the movement, similar to the organic learning we naturally experienced in childhood. This presence to the moment invites a deeper awareness of ourselves in motion with its potent ability to recognize and choose what might be more efficient options.

This kinesthetic experience in Feldenkrais work will engage your innate ability to move naturally with more ease. You let go of what is not functional and discover new options of being in your body that allow an intelligent and efficient distribution of effort for any action intended.

"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you will improve the quality of life itself"

Efficiency in motion brings ease in action.

"Make the impossible possible, the possible easy and the easy elegant"

Moshe Feldenkrais
